L’Associazione Le Arti Tessili bandisce l'ottava edizione del Concorso Internazionale per favorire fra i giovani di differenti parti del mondo la conoscenza e l’interesse per l’arte tessile contemporanea e incoraggiare i nuovi talenti.
Il tema del concorso è: Mixing Cultures – Intreccio e dialogo tra culture. Si chiede agli artisti di realizzare un'opera che recuperi/ rielabori, segni/tecniche tessili provenienti da culture/civiltà diverse.
 
 
Sono previsti i seguenti premi (al netto delle ritenute di acconto)
1° Premio: € 1500,00 *
2° Premio: € 1000,00 *
3° Premio: € 500,00 *
4° Premio Calimala offerto da Gruppo Colle S.r.l. (5kg. di fibra tessile)
 
*Borsa di studio per la frequenza di un seminario mensile presso l'Accademia Di Belle Arti di Bologna http://www.accademiabelleartibologna.it/, l'Accademia d'Alta Moda e del Costume Koefia http://www.koefia.com/di Roma e corso annuale “Digital textile design” presso AFOL Milano-Moda. http://www.afolmoda.com/

TEXTILE/FIBER ART COMPETITION
2011 eighth edition. MIXING CULTURES
 
A project by LE ARTI TESSILI CENTER FOR CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Le Arti Tessili Association is holding the well known international competition for the purpose of enhancing the knowledge and interest towards textile contemporary art among young people coming from different parts of the world, and encouraging new talents.
The competition theme is: Mixing Cultures
Artists are requested to produce a work that recovers/develops textile signs/techniques related to different cultures/civilizations.
 
The following prizes will be awarded (net value):
1st 1,500 € *
2nd 1,000 € *
3rd 500 € *
4th Calimala award offered by Gruppo Colle s.r.l. (5 kilos of textile fibers)
*One-month scholarships (free tutorial expenses) at Accademy of Fine Arts Academy of Fine Arts, Bologna, Koefia Academy of Haute Couture and Art of the Costume, Rome; and one-year “Digital textile design” at AFOL Milano-Fashion
